Senior Medical Officer / Clinical Director
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer / Board
Job Summary:
We are hiring a senior clinician to provide strong clinical leadership, improve care quality, and strengthen clinical governance across our operations. This role combines hands-on clinical oversight with leadership responsibilities, including supervision of clinical teams, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with standards. The successful candidate will help drive better patient outcomes, efficient service delivery, and a culture of safety and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
- Supervise clinical workflows, documentation, and adherence to protocols
- Lead clinical governance activities: audits, risk management, incident review, and quality improvement
- Support team performance through mentoring, training, and clear clinical supervision
- Collaborate with management to align clinical goals with operational performance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and ethical practice
- Drive continuous improvement in patient experience, safety, and clinical outcomes
Requirements
- MBBS (or equivalent) with full registration and valid practicing license
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience (higher experience is an advantage)
- Proven experience supervising clinical staff and managing clinical operations
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Ability to build systems, enforce standards, and maintain calm leadership under pressure
