Senior Associate, Funding

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end execution of complex fundraising transactions, ensuring seamless delivery from initiation to closure.
- Drive the RFP processes for selecting top-tier MLAs and bookrunners, ensuring best-in-class execution standards.
- Develop and execute robust strategies to forecast and bridge cash flow gaps, ensuring seamless capital availability for strategic investments.
- Collaborate with the ALM desk to craft cutting-edge balance sheet strategies, leveraging market trends to optimize AFC’s income and risk profile.
- Manage AFC’s Eurobond issuance process and explore innovative funding solutions.
- Spearhead the negotiation and management of loan and bond documentation, ensuring AFC’s interests are safeguarded at every stage.
- Oversee comprehensive KYC and compliance checks on funding institutions, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and risk management.
- Collaborate with the Financial Control and Risk Management teams to monitor capital adequacy trends and address potential breaches proactively.
- Ensure all payments to lenders are made on time to avoid defaults.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory while oral and written fluency in other international languages will be an added advantage.
Education
- A strong first degree in any discipline
- Possession of MBA or a master’s degree in a finance-related discipline, or final level attainment in, a relevant professional certification (CFA, ACA, FRM, ACI, etc.) is an added advantage.
Experience
- 8 – 10 years’ work experience in an international financial institution or within the corporate treasury of a multinational business, multicultural and diverse working environment
- Willingness to travel “out-of-station” with minimal prior notice
