Production Manager – FeedMill Unit
Job Summary
- The Production Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the feedmill unit, ensuring efficient production processes, quality control, equipment functionality, and adherence to safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate feed production activities in the feedmill.
- Ensure efficient utilization of raw materials and production resources.
- Monitor feed quality and ensure compliance with formulation specifications.
- Possess basic knowledge of poultry feed formulation and feed ingredients.
- Operate, monitor, and supervise the use of feedmill machines and equipment.
- Ensure preventive maintenance and proper handling of production machinery.
- Coordinate production staff and ensure operational discipline.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Work closely with management to achieve production targets and efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Agricultural Engineering, Production Technology, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in feedmill production or agro-allied manufacturing operations.
- Basic knowledge of poultry feed formulation is mandatory.
- Good understanding of feedmill machinery and production equipment.
- Strong leadership, technical, and administrative skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
Added Advantage:
- Experience in commercial poultry or livestock feed production.
- Technical troubleshooting knowledge of feedmill equipment.
