Plant Engineer

Overview

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of plant equipment and systems.
  • The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and minimal downtime across all plant activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise daily plant operations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on plant machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical faults and implement effective solutions promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to improve plant efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare technical reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving strategies.
  • Supervise and guide technical staff and contractors where necessary.

Requirements

  • National Diploma (ND) or City & Guilds certification in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in plant engineering or industrial operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of plant machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical processes.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Good understanding of safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
