Pharmaceutical Finance / Accounts Manager
Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Accountant & Head of Finance with good experience in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry to manage the company’s financial operations, provide strategic oversight, and ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- This role will play a key part in supporting business growth and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations and maintain accurate accounting systems.
- Prepare, analyze, and report financial statements in compliance with the relevant authority.
- Ensure timely reconciliations and accuracy of all financial transactions.
Budgeting & Payroll:
- Prepare, monitor, and manage organizational budgets.
- Process monthly payroll and salary payments.
Compliance & Risk Oversight:
- Manage tax payments, audits, and other statutory responsibilities.
- Conduct risk analyses and provide insights on investment opportunities.
- Liaise with regulatory and statutory bodies to ensure compliance.
Strategic Finance Leadership
- Provide financial oversight for strategic initiatives and projects.
- Represent the company in all finance-related matters.
- Support the HEAD OF OPERATIONS/ CEO with financial insights for strategic decision-making.
Key Performance Indicators KPIs
- Timeliness and accuracy of monthly financial reports
- Accuracy of the general ledger and reconciliations
- Cost variance and cost control effectiveness
- Compliance with tax filings and statutory deadlines
- Audit findings and resolution rate
- Inventory valuation accuracy
- Working capital and cash flow management
- Team productivity and error reduction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or ACA)required or in progress.
- 5–7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (Candidates without finance/accounts pharmaceutical manufacturing experience should not apply)
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and regulatory compliance in Nigeria.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
