Offshore POB Coordinator

Role Purpose

  • The POB (Personnel On Board) Coordinator is responsible for the full offshore management of personnel logistics, documentation control, and workforce timesheet administration for the Bonga North EPC1 Project.
  • This role ensures accurate personnel tracking, compliance with offshore requirements, coordination with onshore logistics teams, and proper control of timesheets and workforce records to support operational and commercial integrity.
  • This is a high-accountability role requiring precision, coordination, and strong offshore operational awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Personnel On Board (POB) Control

  • Maintain real-time POB list for all offshore personnel.
  • Track arrivals, departures, rotations, and crew changes.
  • Ensure all personnel onboard are properly approved and documented.
  • Reconcile offshore POB against approved mobilization lists.
  • Coordinate helicopter and marine transfers with logistics teams.

Offshore Logistics Coordination

  • Liaise with onshore logistics, HR, and Admin teams regarding mobilizations.
  • Verify readiness of personnel prior to offshore deployment (medical, BOSIET, certifications, permits).
  • Coordinate bed space allocation and cabin assignments.
  • Monitor emergency evacuations or unscheduled crew changes.

Documentation & Compliance Control

  • Verify validity of:
  • Offshore medical certificates
  • BOSIET/FOET
  • Trade certifications
  • Work permits (where applicable)
  • Maintain updated digital and physical documentation logs.
  • Ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits by providing accurate personnel records.

Timesheet & Workforce Administration

  • Prepare and maintain daily timesheets for offshore personnel.
  • Validate attendance and working hours with supervisors.
  • Coordinate with Construction/Offshore Managers for verification.
  • Submit approved timesheets to onshore Commercial/HR for payroll processing.
  • Maintain strict control to avoid discrepancies impacting billing or payroll.

Reporting & Communication

  • Issue daily/weekly POB reports.
  • Provide manpower status updates to Offshore Management and Onshore Project Team.
  • Escalate discrepancies immediately.
  • Maintain structured record filing system.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore projects (Oil & Gas preferred).
  • Experience in POB coordination or offshore workforce administration.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore logistics and crew change processes.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian offshore regulatory requirements is an advantage.
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational discipline.
