Mechanical Engineer
Role Description
- This is a full-time role for a Mechanical Engineer, based on-site in Lagos State, Nigeria. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems, creating machine designs, and utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools. Additional responsibilities include overseeing projects, conducting research and development to improve processes, and contributing to innovative solutions that enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles and Machine Design
- Strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and related software
- Project Management experience to deliver projects successfully
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D) for innovative problem-solving
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on practical application of engineering principles
- Design and oversee gas reticulation and pipeline installation project.
- Coordinate with contracts, inspectors, and project teams
- Prepare technical drawings, report, and documentation
- Supervise gas pipe laying works, testing, and commissioning
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently
- Professional certifications in engineering or project management are an added advantage
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience with natural gas and LPG distribution systems.
- Relevant professional certifications are an advantage
