Loan Recovery Officer
We are a financial services organization seeking a dedicated and experienced Loan Recovery Officer with a strong background in public sector loan recovery. This role is strictly focused on loan recovery through field visits, follow-ups, and strategic engagement with defaulting customers.
Job Summary
The Loan Recovery Officer will be responsible for recovering outstanding loans by visiting customers’ homes, offices, and relevant public sector institutions, while developing effective recovery strategies to reduce non-performing loans.
Key Responsibilities
Visiting defaulting customers at their homes and workplaces for loan recovery
- Follow up on overdue loan accounts through physical visits, calls, and official correspondence.
- Engage public sector institutions, payroll offices, and MDAs to facilitate loan deductions.
- Implement and develop recovery strategies to improve repayment rates.
- Negotiate repayment plans with defaulters in line with company policy.
- Track and document recovery activities and outcomes.
- Submit daily/weekly recovery reports.
- Ensure professional and ethical conduct during all recovery activities
