Legal Associate
Role Overview
- The Legal Associate will provide operational legal support to the Legal Department, assisting with contract reviews, legal research, litigation support, and regulatory compliance matters.
- This role offers an opportunity for a developing legal professional to gain exposure to commercial transactions and corporate legal practice within the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct first-level review of commercial agreements including service contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, and supply contracts.
- Perform legal research on regulatory and commercial law issues affecting the Company’s operations.
- Prepare legal memoranda, advisory notes, and internal briefing papers.
- Assist with management of litigation files and coordination with external counsel.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, legal opinions, and litigation documentation.
- Support compliance monitoring and regulatory reporting processes.
- Assist with drafting and review of internal policies and governance documents.
Minimum Requirements
- LL.B and BL qualification.
- 3–5 years post-call experience.
- Experience in contract drafting, legal research, and litigation support.
- Prior experience in corporate law practice or in-house legal roles will be an advantage.
