SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for achieving or exceeding agreed sales targets for the Company’s range of Machines/Lift Truck products within Nigeria Territory.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

  • Obtain orders that meet or exceed agreed targets and negotiate equipment sales into high valued projects.
  • Ensure that full payments are received for all units sold while all necessary sales documents are adequately prepared.
  • Arrange visits to existing and prospective customers to ensure maximum coverage of the territory.
  • Aggressively promote the company’s products within the catchment area and win more prospects therefrom.
  • Provide product related technical assistance and advice to customers and prospects.
  • Obtain and communicate information relating to the market and competition as appropriate.
  • Maintain good corporate reputation and effective communication between our clients/customers and MNL Management.

Mantrac Nigeria Ltd. is the sole authorized dealer for Caterpillar heavy machinery and power systems in Nigeria. We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Finance Intern for a one-year Industrial Training (I.T.) placement. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for polytechnic students to bridge classroom theory with hands-on corporate finance experience within a global engineering and distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Processing: Input financial transactions and invoices into corporate accounting systems.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Match monthly bank statements with internal payment vouchers and receipts.
  • Inventory & Costing Support: Assist the finance team with stock count data entry, variance reports, and asset tracking.
  • Documentation & Archiving: Organize, file, and retrieve financial vouchers and invoices for audit preparation.
  • Expense Verification: Review internal staff expense reports to ensure alignment with company policy.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Must be a current Polytechnic student pursuing an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Accounting or Banking and Finance.
  • Placement Type: Must have completed the OND curriculum and possess an official one-year Industrial Training (I.T.) letter from your institution.
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data sorting, basic formulas) and general computer literacy.
  • Attributes: Strong attention to numerical details, absolute integrity when handling financial data, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
