About the job
- The Contracts & Procurement (C&P) Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and execution of the Company’s contracting and procurement strategies to ensure value delivery within approved timelines and budgets. The role involves vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, procurement management, and performance monitoring to ensure efficient use of company resources and compliance with internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement contract strategies aligned with the Company’s business objectives
- Conduct contract screening and capability assessments to create a qualified bidder list
- Ensure vendors are pre-qualified and meet all legal and operational requirements
Tender & Documentation Management
- Prepare tender documents, including instructions to bidders, bid criteria, and proposal requirements
- Draft contracts ensuring alignment with technical and commercial requirements
- Ensure all tendering processes comply with company policies and procedures
Contracts Administration, Negotiation & Execution
- Lead pre-award contract negotiations with vendors
- Negotiate commercial terms such as pricing, payment schedules, warranties, and risk allocation
- Coordinate contract kick-off and ensure timely execution
- Monitor contract progress and ensure adherence to agreed timelines
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and correspondence for all contracts
- Provide support to project owners on contractual matters and dispute resolution
Vendor & Performance Management
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare accurate and timely proposals
- Develop and implement vendor performance evaluation systems
- Monitor vendor performance including delivery timelines, quality, and compliance
Procurement & Sourcing
- Execute sourcing strategies including supplier selection, due diligence, and risk assessment
- Evaluate supplier bids, quotations, and proposals based on approved criteria
- Conduct price comparisons and recommend cost-effective vendors
Order & Inventory Management
- Ensure purchase orders align with budgets and agreed terms
- Verify quality of goods and resolve discrepancies between invoices and orders
- Monitor inventory trends and ensure availability of critical materials
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reports
Cost Control & Optimization
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in procurement activities
- Evaluate supplier offerings to ensure best value for money
- Liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery and resolve cost or schedule issues
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support business objectives
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or equivalent in a relevant field
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in contracts and procurement
- Professional certification such as Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) is an added advantage
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills
- Good understanding of procurement processes, contract law basics, and supply chain management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems/tools

Method of Application
- The Production Lead will oversee the end-to-end production process, from initial sampling through to final delivery. This role is responsible for ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, production timelines, and output targets. The Production Lead is expected to proactively identify potential delays or operational bottlenecks and implement timely solutions to ensure production remains on schedule and meets the Company’s standards for quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control
- Oversee quality assurance across all stages of the production process.
- Inspect garments for stitching accuracy, pattern alignment, dye consistency, sizing, and finishing to ensure they meet the Company’s quality standards.
- Identify issues early and coordinate corrective actions to maintain high-quality output.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, production supplies, and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate stock records and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Ensure proper storage systems to minimize loss, damage, or waste.
Supplier & Vendor Coordination
- Manage relationships with local and international suppliers to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.
- Coordinate order timelines, resolve supply chain issues, and monitor vendor performance.
Production Scheduling & Coordination
- Develop and manage production schedules across internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure alignment between factories, dyers, and vendors on priorities and delivery timelines.
- Adjust schedules to accommodate urgent orders or operational changes.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and support the production team to drive performance and accountability.
- Conduct regular check-ins to monitor progress, resolve challenges, and maintain team morale.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Record Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of production output, material usage, quality control results, and team performance.
- Prepare regular reports to support management decision-making and planning.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize turnaround times.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to test and implement improved production techniques and processes.
Sustainability Practices
- Promote environmentally responsible production practices.
- Encourage material reuse, reduce waste, and support sustainable initiatives aligned with the Company’s goals.
Special Projects & Brand Initiatives
- Support strategic initiatives such as product launches, collaborations, and special collections.
- Oversee execution to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support production operations and business objectives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., Project Management certification) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 12 years’ work experience.
- At least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role.
- Proven experience managing complex operations within the fashion, textile, or manufacturing industry.
