Job Summary

  • The Chief Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organisation operates within legal and regulatory boundaries, while maintaining high ethical standards. 
  • He/She will provide strategic leadership for the compliance function, develop and implement compliance policies, conduct risk assessments, and foster a culture of compliance. 

The Ideal Candidate must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, finance, or related field
  • An MBA or relevant Master’s degree is an added advantage
  • Professional membership with a relevant body or institution
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in financial services, 5 of which must be in a senior leadership role
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws and industry regulations/standards
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing effective compliance programmes/policies as well as executing strategies to mitigate compliance risks
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and educate others on compliance matters
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Extensive experience in coordinating and participating in external compliance audits and reviews

  • Key role responsibilities include overseeing cash management, investment strategies, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the company’s financial stability and growth.

The Ideal candidate must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • A master’s degree and professional certification in a relevant field
  • Relevant professional qualifications/certifications
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role and preferably within the financial services sector 
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment instruments, and risk management 
  • Extensive experience implementing and maintaining treasury policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements 
  • Proven ability to evaluate and manage financial risk exposure, including interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and credit risk
