Description
- The Machine Shop Manager & Business Development Manager (Machine Shop) is responsible for the effective management and growth of AOS Orwell Machine Shop operations in Nigeria and Ghana.
- The role combines full operational accountability for machines, threading, refurbishment, and fabrication services with strategic business development responsibilities to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability.
- The position ensures full compliance with API standards, quality requirements, safety regulations, operational efficiency, workforce capability, customer satisfaction, and expanding the machine shop’s market footprint.
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Certifications in machining, CNC programming, or API threading
- Minimum of 10 years of machining experience in an oil & gas machine shop
- Strong CNC & manual machining experience
- Strong knowledge of API 5CT, API 7-1, API 7-2 threading standards
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, thread data sheets, and specifications
- Skilled in tooling selection, cutting parameters, precision measurement, and machine troubleshooting
- Knowledge of DS1 inspection requirements

- MBA or relevant sales certifications is a plus.
- Minimum of five(5) years in technical sales or operations within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on fishing services.
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of fishing tools and services.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-stakeholder engagements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in CRM tools, MS Office, and industry-specific software.
