Description

  • The Machine Shop Manager & Business Development Manager (Machine Shop) is responsible for the effective management and growth of AOS Orwell Machine Shop operations in Nigeria and Ghana.
  • The role combines full operational accountability for machines, threading, refurbishment, and fabrication services with strategic business development responsibilities to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability.
  • The position ensures full compliance with API standards, quality requirements, safety regulations, operational efficiency, workforce capability, customer satisfaction, and expanding the machine shop’s market footprint.

Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Certifications in machining, CNC programming, or API threading
  • Minimum of 10 years of machining experience in an oil & gas machine shop
  • Strong CNC & manual machining experience
  • Strong knowledge of API 5CT, API 7-1, API 7-2 threading standards
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, thread data sheets, and specifications
  • Skilled in tooling selection, cutting parameters, precision measurement, and machine troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of DS1 inspection requirements

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or related field.
  • MBA or relevant sales certifications is a plus.
  • Minimum of five(5) years in technical sales or operations within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on fishing services.

Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of fishing tools and services.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-stakeholder engagements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in CRM tools, MS Office, and industry-specific software.
