Lab Technicians
We are seeking competent and detail-oriented professionals to join our Quality Control Laboratory team for ongoing road and building construction projects. Successful candidates will support laboratory and field-testing activities in compliance with international standards.
Job Summary
The Lab Technician will conduct laboratory and field testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt materials in accordance with international standards while ensuring accuracy, safety, and proper documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Field Testing
- Conduct in-situ density tests (Sand Replacement Method / Nuclear Density Gauge).
- Perform core drilling for asphalt and concrete evaluation.
- Conduct Plate Load Tests.
- Support compaction control and site quality inspections.
Laboratory Testing
- Perform soil tests (Proctor, CBR, Atterberg Limits, sieve analysis).
- Conduct concrete testing (slump test, cube casting, compressive strength).
- Carry out asphalt testing (Marshall Stability, extraction, bitumen content).
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, BS/EN, or relevant international standards.
- Maintain precision measurement standards and safety protocols.
- Record and report accurate test results.
Requirements – Lab Technician
- OND/HND in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in construction materials testing.
- Hands-on experience in field and laboratory testing.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and precision measurement practices.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for reporting).
