Work Experience

Roles and Responsibilities
- The Paco/Instrumentation Support will be responsible for the following:
- Onsite responsibility for safe supervision of technicians during work execution.
- Ensure performance assurance and proactive health checks of the associated components of the Robertshaw Panel integrated Control, Safety Instrumented and Fire & Gas Systems.
- Ensure periodic health checks on Human Machine Interface workstations and
- Servers. Systems fault diagnosis and recovery. Of Allen Bradley, DeltaV, Foxboro, Solar
- Turbine, Siemen, System one etc.
- Access and interpret Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID); Cause and
- Effects Matrix (C&E); Process Flow Scheme (PFS); Functional Logic Diagram (FLD);
- Instrument Loop Drawings (ILD) and Process Engineering Flow Scheme (PEFS) required for fault tracing and issues resolutions.
- Work closely with service Contractor(s) towards safe delivery of vendor-based maintenance jobs.
- Initiate and follow up with spares procurement towards expedited delivery for maintenance execution.
- Ensure technical integrity of assets through Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities, quality assurance and performance standard verification of safety critical equipment.
- Ensure field instrumentation availability and reliability towards meeting business targets on hydrocarbon processing and export operations.
- Maintain Systems availability for the continuous operation of the facility.
- Identifying critical spares and follow-up ordering and delivery.
- Integrate with other disciplines to achieve Asset integrity on continuous basis.
- Promotes site safety and continuous hazard identification, mitigation, and close-out.
- Other assignments for continuous improvements as exigent.
Work Cycle
- The work location is a water and land-field based in West Shell Facilities accessible via water and Air.
- The job activity period is daily on 12 hours (7am to 7pm) routine over a 21-day period.
- There is a standard 3weeks on and 3weeks off schedule.
- The successful candidate will manage own absences with his/her contractor for suitable qualified covers.
- There may be need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for training and official assignments.
- Personnel may be required to work extended hours as need may arise.

- Operation & maintenance of high voltage power generation systems. Competence in the troubleshooting of variable frequency drives, DAC start systems & fuel ignition systems and troubleshooting of high-capacity Brush alternator. etc.
- Assembly and wiring of HV switchboards.
- Assembly and wiring of LV switchboards.
- Experience in the assembly, wiring, installation, and commissioning of Motor Control Centre.
- Ability to troubleshoot, install and configure switchgears.
- Skilled in operation and maintenance of ABB MNSIS switchgear including RED615 and REF 615 relays.
- Ability to troubleshoot fused contactor & circuit breaker types of isolators and protection relay faults in high voltage switchgear. Experience in protection relay testing & fault simulation.
- Operation and maintenance of LV power Generation and distribution systems
- Experience in Electric Motors and Controls systems maintenance (including high voltage & mega-watt motors with lube oil-based cooling systems)
- Experience in Lightning and Earthing system inspections.
- Experienced in HV switching operations with requisite certifications e.g. Shell SAEP certification
- Ability to carry out high-level integrity jointing of High Voltage underground cables in challenging environments

- The Electrical Technician will be responsible for the following:
- Interpretation of equipment instruction and maintenance manuals, schematic drawings and diagnosis.
- Operation and maintenance of power systems
- Operation and maintenance of power generators
- Operation and maintenance of overhead transmission lines
- Installation and repair of HV & LV circuits/equipment.
- Use of diagnostic tools and Electrical hand tools for testing and fault tracing in Hazardous Areas.
- Asset Integrity assurance, PM/CM inspections and close-out on SAP.
- Work preparations and material staging for work executions.
- Daily proactive monitoring of rotating and safety & production critical equipment.
- Isolation/De-isolation of electrical equipment for Electrical/non-electrical activities.
