Role Overview
- The Head, Regulatory Affairs and Compliance will provide independent oversight to ensure full and continuous compliance with the Pension Reform Act, PenCom regulations, and all applicable laws governing Approved Pension Agents.
- The role safeguards the integrity of operations, agent conduct, contributor onboarding processes, and partner arrangements—ensuring growth remains disciplined, transparent, and regulatorily aligned.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Oversight:
- Ensure full adherence to applicable pension laws, guidelines, circulars, and directives.
- Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into internal policies, procedures, and controls.
- Monitor compliance across all business functions and field operations.
Regulatory Engagement & Reporting:
- Serve as primary liaison with the National Pension Commission.
- Coordinate regulatory filings, periodic returns, and compliance certifications.
- Lead regulatory inspections, examinations, and audit engagements, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
Policy Development & Internal Controls:
- Develop and periodically review compliance manuals, policies, and SOPs.
- Oversee internal control frameworks, ensuring proper segregation of duties, particularly in onboarding and contribution-related activities.
- Establish structured compliance monitoring processes.
Agent & Partner Compliance:
- Define and enforce compliance standards for agents and third-party partners.
- Conduct compliance training and monitor adherence to approved operating procedures.
- Investigate breaches and recommend corrective or disciplinary measures.
Risk Management & Compliance Culture:
- Identify and assess regulatory and conduct risks.
- Escalate material compliance issues to senior management and the Board.
- Promote a strong, organization-wide compliance culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
- 10 – 15 years experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, or legal advisory roles within regulated financial services (pensions, insurance, banking).
- Demonstrated experience engaging regulators and managing compliance audits.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACA, ACCA, CISA, CRISC, or relevant legal qualifications) are an advantage.

- The Head, Sales and Marketing will lead market entry, growth, and engagement strategy with a focus on sustainable contributor acquisition and nationwide awareness among informal and self-employed workers.
- The role balances ambitious growth objectives with strict regulatory compliance, ensuring all marketing and sales activities are ethical, transparent, and aligned with approved guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Strategy:
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies aligned with approved business plans.
- Identify priority customer segments and geographic markets for phased expansion.
- Translate financial inclusion objectives into practical, measurable outreach initiatives.
Agent Network Development & Management:
- Design and oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of State Coordinators and field agents.
- Ensure agents operate within approved product scope and ethical engagement standards.
- Monitor productivity, onboarding quality, and contributor retention metrics.
Customer Acquisition & Engagement:
- Drive onboarding through community-based campaigns, partnerships, and field sensitization initiatives.
- Promote pension awareness and long-term contributor trust through responsible messaging and engagement.
Marketing Communications & Brand Management:
- Oversee marketing communications, campaign materials, and public engagement activities.
- Ensure all messaging is accurate, compliant, and properly approved.
- Build a credible, trust-driven brand aligned with pension inclusion and long-term savings culture.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track acquisition costs, conversion rates, and agent effectiveness.
- Provide periodic performance reports to Management.
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations to align growth with cost discipline and service quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline.
- 5–7 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or distribution roles.
- Prior experience in financial services, insurance, pensions, telecoms, or FMCG distribution is an advantage.
- Proven experience managing distributed agent networks or channel partners.
- Experience operating within regulated environments is desirable.
