Job Summary
- In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all inventory management operations, including receiving, storing, distributing, and tracking sporting goods, apparel, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Oversees inventory levels, handles cash, conducts regular physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
- Organize the stockroom to optimize space utilization, ensuring products are easily accessible for sales staff.
- Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or out-of-stock items.
- Supervise the daily receiving of new sports merchandise, including unloading and inspecting for damage.
- Generate and analyze daily/weekly reports on stock levels, turnover rates, and inventory inaccuracies for management.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND / B.Sc in Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in inventory management, retail warehousing, or supply chain.
- Proficiency in inventory management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with sales and purchasing teams.
- Familiarity with sporting goods, clothing or high-volume retail environments is a strong plus.
