About the Role
- We are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our private sector, government, and grant acquisition initiatives.
- This is a revenue-critical role for someone who:
- Has deep networks across government agencies, NGOs, private organizations, and international development partners
- Understands how to navigate complex decision-making structures
- Can identify, secure, and manage high-value contracts, grants, and strategic partnership deals
- Can generate significant revenue through relationship leverage, proposal development, and opportunity sourcing
- The ideal candidate has verifiable experience in FinTech, EdTech, HealthTech, Logistics, or enterprise technology, and has successfully secured government contracts, donor funding, or major private-sector deals.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Deal Acquisition:
- Identify, pursue, and close high-value business opportunities across private organizations, government agencies, NGOs, and donor institutions.
- Develop revenue-focused strategies to win partnerships, procurement bids, and government contracts.
- Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities using CRM tools and report progress weekly.
Government & Public Sector Engagement:
- Build and manage relationships with federal, state, and local government stakeholders.
- Navigate government procurement, bidding, tendering, and compliance frameworks.
- Lead proposal writing, RFP responses, and formal presentation sessions with government agencies.
Private Sector Partnerships:
- Engage C-level stakeholders and decision-makers across enterprises.
- Create customized proposals and partnership models for corporate clients.
- Drive long-term, revenue-generating private sector collaborations.
Grant & Donor Funding Acquisition:
- Identify grant opportunities from international development partners, foundations, and donor agencies.
- Prepare and submit competitive grant proposals, concept notes, and partnership applications.
- Manage relationships with donor program officers and maintain compliance documentation.
Relationship & Stakeholder Management:
- Leverage personal and professional networks to unlock opportunities quickly.
- Build trust-based relationships with executives, government officials, and institutional leaders.
- Represent KloudOpp in industry events, government forums, and partnership meetings.
Strategy & Performance:
- Develop business development strategy aligned with company revenue goals.
- Track KPIs, revenue targets, and lead conversion metrics.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, finance, and technical teams to support proposals and negotiations.
Required Experience
- 7–12+ years in Business Development, Partnerships, Government Relations, Grant Acquisition, or Corporate Engagement
- Strong, verifiable network in government, private sector, and/or donor ecosystems
- Track record of securing large contracts, partnerships, tenders, or grants
- Experience in any of: FinTech, EdTech, HealthTech, Logistics, SaaS, or enterprise technology
- Strong proposal writing, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver under pressure
- Must pass background and network verification checks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with grant writing, donor reporting, and compliance
- Experience engaging DFIs, NGOs, foundations, and donor partners
- Familiarity with government procurement laws and tender processes
- MBA or relevant business/strategy certifications (optional but valuable)

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and execute company vision, strategic roadmap, and business objectives.
- Align organizational operations across product, marketing, technology, finance, and partnerships with growth targets.
- Provide executive guidance and decision-making to achieve operational and financial goals.
Revenue & Business Growth:
- Own all revenue generation strategies, including enterprise, B2B, B2C, and international markets.
- Leverage personal network and professional contacts to generate high-value leads.
- Establish revenue models that ensure sustainable and scalable growth.
Investment & Fundraising:
- Identify and secure investments, venture capital, strategic funding, and grants.
- Manage and nurture relationships with local and international investors.
- Lead KloudOpp through fundraising rounds, investor negotiations, and shareholder reporting.
Global & Strategic Partnerships:
- Build and manage high-impact partnerships with private sector, government, and global tech entities.
- Leverage relationships to create co-development initiatives, joint ventures, and strategic collaborations.
- Represent KloudOpp at industry summits, international forums, and executive panels.
Operational & Organizational Oversight:
- Oversee daily operations, organizational structure, and high-performance team management.
- Implement scalable governance, compliance, and operational excellence standards.
- Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and measurable performance.
Innovation & Market Positioning:
- Lead market research, product positioning, and growth strategy.
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies and digital transformation initiatives.

Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 5–10 years in senior executive leadership.
- Verifiable track record of leading Fortune 500 companies or similar organizations with annual revenue ≥ $5M.
- Strong network of investors, corporate partners, and government stakeholders.
- Experience in FinTech, HealthTech, EdTech, Logistics Tech, or large-scale technology ventures.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to scale organizations, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver measurable results.
- Experience with P&L management, financial strategy, and operational excellence.
