Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
  • MBA is an advantage.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in chemical or process manufacturing environments.
  • At least 5 years in a senior plant/operations leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of process manufacturing systems and industrial automation.
  • Proven experience managing large production teams and plant budgets.

Role Overview

  • Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Civil Engineer to lead the planning, design, and supervision of construction and infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
  • This role combines core civil engineering responsibilities with technical support and technical sales functions, requiring the ability to interpret engineering requirements, provide on-site and remote technical guidance, and support client-facing technical discussions that influence project decisions and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, cost estimates, and feasibility studies in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support and advisory services to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, including real-time troubleshooting of engineering issues.
  • Support technical sales and client engagement by contributing to proposals, client meetings, and translating requirements into engineering solutions.
  • Supervise site activities to ensure adherence to approved designs, quality standards, and construction specifications.
  • Enforce QA/QC procedures and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource utilization while supporting procurement and vendor evaluation.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and progress updates, and act as a liaison between site teams, management, and clients.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Professional certification or registration with COREN is an added advantage.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, or structural engineering projects.
  • Experience in technical sales, client-facing engineering, or technical solution support is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in engineering design and CAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Proven ability to provide technical support, troubleshooting, and engineering guidance.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
