Job Overview
- We are seeking a licensed and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality psychotherapy and therapeutic interventions to clients presenting with various mental healthconcerns as well as contribute to the growth and development of our organization through quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive intake interviews and administer, score, and interpret psychometric tests to form accurate clinical formulations.
- Make clinical assessments and provide well-reasoned interpretations to inform treatment planning.
- Formulate and implement personalized interventions, treatment and management plans based on best evidence and client needs.
- Assess and manage client risk, integrating clinical and social factors when planning and delivering interventions.
- Provide psychotherapy and other therapeutic modalities (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, behavior modification, stress reduction therapy, brief interventions) appropriate to client presentation and goals.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of interventions using outcome measures and feedback; modify treatment plans when indicated.
- Maintain accurate, confidential client records and ensure safe storage in line with data protection and professional standards.
- Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, counsellors, nurses, social workers, and external providers to coordinate holistic care.
- Design and deliver mental health talks and presentations — both physical (community centers, schools, workplaces) and online (webinars, livestreams, recorded sessions) — tailored to diverse audiences.
- Develop, plan and implement community mental health outreach initiatives, including needs assessments, program design, public education campaigns, and evaluation of outreach impact.
- Participate in supervision, case review meetings, training, and continuous professional development activities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, or Counselling Psychology, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Current/valid professional registration or licensure with relevant regulatory body in Nigeria (or evidence of eligibility/registration).
- Demonstrated experience administering and interpreting standard psychometric instruments.
- 2–3 years post-qualification clinical experience (or as appropriate to the level of the role) working with diverse client groups.
- Proven experience delivering evidence-based psychotherapies and behavior-change interventions.
- Demonstrable experience planning and delivering public talks, workshops, or training sessions (physical and online).
- Experience working with an NGO will be considered an added advantage.
