Job Summary
- Harvest Feeds and Agro Processing Limited is seeking a skilled and reliable Water Treatment Operator II to operate, monitor, and maintain water treatment systems in line with operational, safety, and quality standards. The role is critical to ensuring consistent supply of treated water suitable for production and general facility use.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor water treatment plants, including filtration, softening, dosing, and disinfection systems.
- Conduct routine checks, sampling, and testing to ensure treated water meets required quality standards.
- Monitor chemical usage, prepare dosing solutions, and maintain accurate records.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of pumps, valves, tanks, and treatment equipment.
- Identify operational issues and escalate complex faults to supervisors or maintenance teams.
- Maintain logs, reports, and documentation of daily operations and water quality results.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and water quality.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of OND in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience in water treatment operations, preferably in a manufacturing or agro-processing environment.
- Good understanding of water treatment processes and chemical handling.
- Ability to read gauges, interpret test results, and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Willingness to work shifts when required.
- Knowledge of safety practices and environmental standards.
