Job Summary

• The Mixologist is responsible for creating exceptional beverage experiences through expert cocktail preparation, bar service, and guest interaction. This role involves crafting innovative drinks, maintaining bar standards, and providing knowledgeable service to enhance guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate must possess extensive beverage knowledge, creativity, and excellent customer service skills.

Main Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
• Create innovative cocktails and suggest drink pairings to guests.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail ingredients.
• Provide excellent customer service and engage guests in friendly conversation.
• Manage bar inventory, stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers.
• Ensure bar cleanliness, organization, and compliance with hygiene standards.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate daily sales records.
• Train bar staff on drink preparation techniques and customer service.
• Develop signature cocktails and seasonal drink menus.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and serve responsibly.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff for food and beverage pairings.
• Maintain bar equipment and coordinate maintenance when needed.
• Support special events, parties, and private functions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new beverage products.

Requirements

• Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) minimum;required
• Professional bartender certification or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in upscale bar or restaurant environment
• Extensive knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wines, and beverage preparation
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Creative flair and passion for beverage innovation
• Ability to work efficiently in high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Professional appearance and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of responsible service of alcohol practices
