Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie (African Cook) to join the culinary team at our four-star hotel.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic and high-quality African dishes while maintaining consistency and kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present African cuisine according to hotel standards and recipes
  • Manage the African kitchen section and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Maintain quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes
  • Assist with menu planning and daily specials featuring African dishes
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and stock rotation
  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Work closely with senior chefs and support the kitchen team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role specializing in African cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and modern African cooking techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel kitchen
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.

  • A Hotel Front Office Manager is responsible for supervising all front desk operations and ensuring a seamless guest experience from check-in to check-out.
  • The role involves managing reception staff, handling guest relations, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining high service standards to enhance guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee front desk operations, including reservations, check-in/check-out, and guest services.
  • Supervise, train, and schedule front office staff to ensure efficient and professional service.
  • Resolve guest complaints and ensure prompt responses to inquiries and issues.
  • Monitor room availability, occupancy rates, and revenue targets in coordination with the reservations and sales team.
  • Ensure accurate billing, cashiering, and financial procedures at the front desk.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare and analyse front office reports and performance metrics.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Proven experience in front office or guest services, preferably in a supervisory role.

  • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., OPERA, IDS).
