Inverter Installation, Maintenance & Commissioning Supervisor
This role is a hands-on technical leadership position.
You are expected to:
- Work on site, install, commission, troubleshoot systems yourself
- Lead and manage local installation technicians
- Take full responsibility for inverter installation quality, commissioning, and after-sales technical performance
This is not a desk-only engineering role.
Key Responsibilities
On-Site Installation, Commissioning & Troubleshooting
- Install, commission, maintain, and repair:
- Off-grid and Hybrid inverter systems
- Residential and small commercial energy storage systems
Perform:
- Inverter parameter configuration
- Battery (lithium) and BMS communication setup
- Grid / Generator / PV switching logic configuration
- System stability and load testing
Diagnose and resolve:
- Inverter alarms and faults
- Communication errors
- Incorrect wiring or parameter mismatches
- Power loss and system instability issues
Installation Team Supervision
- Lead and supervise local:
- Inverter installation engineers
- Technicians and electricians
- Implement and enforce:
- Installation SOPs
- Commissioning procedures
- Electrical safety standards
- Ensure installation quality, including:
- Proper wiring and cable sizing
- Correct grounding and protection
- Clean, safe, and professional installation work
Technical Support & Customer Interface
- Provide on-site technical support to customers and sales teams
- Explain system operation and usage clearly to clients
- Handle technical after-sales issues and improve customer satisfaction
- Support internal and partner installer technical training
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and organize:
- Commissioning reports
- Fault analysis and maintenance reports
- Project handover documentation
- Provide technical feedback on:
- Common field issues
- Installation improvements
- Product performance and compatibility
Mandatory Requirements
- Strong experience with:
- Off-grid and Hybrid inverter systems
- Lithium battery systems (48V / 51.2V preferred)
- Residential and small commercial solar-storage projects
- Ability to independently complete full installation and commissioning workflows
- Proven capability to lead installation teams, not just work individually
Preferred Qualifications (Advantage)
- Previous experience as Team Lead / Supervisor
- Familiarity with multiple inverter brands
- Ability to read and understand English technical manuals
- Strong on-site communication skills with customers, installers, and sales teams
- Experience with parallel inverters or small commercial systems
