Inventory/Store Officer
LOCATION: Ode Remo, Ogun State
DEPARTMENT: Stores & Logistics
REPORTS TO: Supply Chain Manager / Head of Operations
Job Summary
The Inventory/Store Officer is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of materials, spare parts, tools, and consumables used in the automobile manufacturing process. The role ensures accurate inventory control, proper stock management, and availability of materials to support uninterrupted production and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, spare parts, and equipment.
- Maintain proper storage and labeling of items in the store in line with company procedures.
- Issue materials to authorized departments and maintain accurate records of stock movement.
- Monitor stock levels and prepare periodic inventory reports.
- Conduct routine stock counts and participate in periodic stock audits and reconciliation.
- Ensure proper documentation of Goods Received Notes (GRN), Store Requisition Forms, and delivery records.
- Track minimum and maximum stock levels and initiate replenishment requests when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store environment.
- Prevent loss, damage, or pilferage of inventory items.
- Collaborate with procurement and accounts departments for inventory planning and verification.
- Maintain computerized inventory records using ERP or inventory management systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal control procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in storekeeping or inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or automobile company.
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures and warehouse management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory software/ERP systems.
- Strong numerical and record-keeping skills.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
