HR & Corporate Services Lead

Role Summary:

  • The HR & Corporate Services Lead will drive the development and delivery of Dajo Group’s people and corporate services strategy, with primary focus on Dajo Energy Limited’s oil and gas operations. The role translates business objectives into scalable HR and business-support systems that enable growth, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with executive leadership, the role shapes workforce strategy, organisational effectiveness, and the internal operating environment within a lean, fast-growing energy business.

Job Responsibilities:

People & HR Strategy:

  • Lead the Design and execution of workforce strategy, ensuring alignment with Dajo’s business objectives and growth plans.
  • Build and implement scalable HR policies, structures, and frameworks suited to a project-driven oil & gas environment.
  • Partner with executive management on workforce planning, organisational design, and succession planning.
  • Oversee end-to-end talent acquisition for technical, operational, and corporate roles, ensuring timely delivery of critical hires.
  • Establish and drive a performance management framework that promotes accountability, productivity, and high performance.
  • Develop learning and capability-building programmes for leadership, technical, and early-career talent.
  • Lead employee relations, engagement, and culture initiatives across operational and corporate teams.
  • Ensure full compliance with Nigerian labour laws, industry regulations, and internal governance standards.
  • Manage compensation, benefits, and reward structures in line with market benchmarks and business realities.
  • Provide HR leadership across subsidiaries, ensuring consistency while allowing for operational flexibility.
  • Build and mentor a lean HR team capable of supporting a growing, multi-site organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management on people risk, change management, and organizational effectiveness.

Corporate Services Oversight:

  • Establish and oversee Corporate Services functions, including administration, office operations, corporate communications coordination, IT service oversight, legal and governance oversight (Dajo Legal) and general business support.
  • Design and implement internal service standards, workflows, and controls that enable efficient day-to-day operations across the business.
  • Lead the development of a fit-for-purpose corporate services operating model aligned with the company’s growth and complexity.
  • Manage corporate services vendors, contracts, and budgets to ensure value, efficiency, and service quality.
  • Partner with functional heads to understand operational needs and ensure internal services effectively support business delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement across corporate services processes, systems, and tools to enhance productivity and employee experience.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years’ progressive HR experience, with exposure to the energy, oil & gas, or similarly regulated, project-driven environment strongly preferred.
  • Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in both strategic HR leadership and hands-on HR delivery within growing organisations.
  • Proven exposure to corporate services or business support functions such as administration, office operations, corporate communications coordination, IT services, legal and governance oversight and vendor management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Nigerian labour law and corporate HR governance.
  • Track record of partnering with senior leadership to influence business outcomes, organisational design, and change initiatives.
  • Ability to build and scale systems, policies, and teams in lean, fast-growing environments.
