Horticulturist
About the Role
- The Horticulturist will be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining plantation, greenbelt development, and mine rehabilitation activities to support environmental management and statutory compliance at the mining project.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out plantation and greenbelt development works within and around the mining area
- Manage nursery operations and maintenance of saplings
- Assist in biological reclamation and rehabilitation of mined-out and dump areas
- Ensure irrigation, fertilization, pruning, and pest management
- Monitor plant growth and survival percentage
- Maintain records related to plantation and environmental activities
- Support environmental audits and statutory inspections
- Supervise gardeners, helpers, and contract labor
Qualification & Experience
- Candidates should possess a Degree/Diploma in Horticulture / Agriculture / Forestry / Botany with 2–5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in mining or industrial projects is an added advantage.
