The Head, Operations is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the organization’s day-to-day banking and operational activities to ensure efficiency, service quality, and full regulatory compliance. This role provides leadership across branch and operational functions, implements standard operating procedures, and ensures that all transactions and processes align with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate branch operations to ensure seamless, efficient, and customer-focused service delivery.
• Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies, procedures, and controls across the organization.
• Ensure strict compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulations and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Monitor daily transactional activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to approved processes.
• Identify operational risks and implement controls to minimize errors, losses, and service disruptions.
• Lead, train, and mentor operations staff to improve productivity, competence, and service standards.
• Prepare operational performance reports and provide recommendations for continuous process improvement.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Social Sciences.
• Master’s degree and/or relevant professional qualifications in Banking, Operations, or Management will be an added advantage.
• Proven experience in banking or financial services operations.
• Strong understanding of banking processes, operational controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and people management skills.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and strong problem-solving abilities.
