Head of Trading
Role Summary
- The Head of Trading will lead and manage the trading department, overseeing all trading activities across multiple asset classes.

- Trading should have extensive experience in trading, deep market knowledge, and strong leadership skills to guide a team of traders.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute trading strategies that align with the company’s investment goals and risk management policies.
- Monitor market trends and economic data to anticipate market movements and adjust trading strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with senior management to set trading goals and objectives.
Trading Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day trading operations, ensuring accurate and timely execution of trades.
- Manage relationships with brokers, exchanges, and other market participants.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate trading risks across various asset classes.
- Implement risk management strategies to protect the firm’s assets and ensure adherence to risk limits.
- Regularly review and update risk management frameworks and procedures
Time Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of traders, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Encourage collaboration and communication within the team to ensure seamless trading operations.
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor the performance of trading strategies and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Analyze trading results and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of all trading activities.
Technology & Systems:
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of trading systems and platforms.
- Ensure that the trading infrastructure is efficient, secure, and up to date with industry standards.
- Collaborate with the IT department to optimize trading technology and data analytics
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s or a masters finance, economics, business, or a related field
- Relevant certifications like the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial
- Risk Manager (FRM).
- 5 Years of experience.
- Previous experience as a Head of Trading.
