Finance Manager
Job Summary
- We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager with strong experience in FX trading, tax compliance, and core financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing foreign exchange transactions, overseeing tax filings and compliance, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring the overall financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities
FX Operations:
- Oversee daily FX trading activities, including currency exchange, risk analysis, and trade execution.
- Monitor and analyze exchange rate trends to support strategic financial decisions.
- Liaise with financial institutions and FX trading partners to execute cost-effective currency trades.
- Develop and implement FX hedging strategies to minimize currency risk.
- Track international payments and receipts to optimize currency conversion timing.
- Maintain a real-time dashboard of FX exposure and regularly report to management.
Financing:
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and liquidity planning.
- Process and reconcile financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and review financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate documentation.
- Assist in evaluating investment opportunities and conducting financial feasibility analyses.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of tax filings (e.g., VAT, PAYE, WHT) in compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external consultants to resolve tax-related issues.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Must have worked in a FinTech industry
- Proven experience in FX trading and tax compliance (at least 2–3 years).
- Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and risk management.
- Proficiency in financial software, Excel, and reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail and integrity.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CFA) is an added advantage.
