Finance & Accounting Manager
We are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to lead and build the finance and accounting function of a growing Microfinance Bank. The role combines accounting, financial planning, compliance, and team building. The ideal candidate will help set up strong financial systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and build a scalable finance team from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for microfinance operations
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Oversee cashflow, liquidity, and reconciliations
- Build and manage a small finance and accounting team
- Develop internal controls and financial processes
- Support audits and regulatory reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification (ICAN / ACCA)
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
- 5+ years relevant experience (banking, microfinance, fintech preferred)
- Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge
- Experience in budgeting, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to supervise or build a small team
