Factory Supervisor
Job Summary
- We are seeking a reliable and experienced Factory Supervisor to oversee daily production operations and ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met.
- The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Directly supervise, train, and manage a team of unskilled laborers. Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate, day-to-day records of all goods received, transferred, and dispatched. Ensure that inventory counts match physical stock and report discrepancies immediately.
- Monitor the production line to ensure targets are met without compromising quality. Troubleshoot bottlenecks and reallocate labor resources as needed to maintain workflow.
- Inspect finished goods and raw materials to ensure they meet company standards.
- Conduct on-the-job training for unskilled laborers to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and gradually build a more capable workforce.
- Enforce workplace discipline while fostering a positive work environment to reduce turnover and improve efficiency among the unskilled workforce.
- Ensure that all machinery, tools, and workstations are kept clean, organized, and in safe working condition. Coordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairs and report any safety hazards immediately.
- Prepare detailed end-of-shift reports summarizing production output, labor attendance, inventory movements, and any issues encountered. Coordinate with incoming supervisors to ensure seamless shift transitions and continuity of operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Management, Production Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Factory Supervisor, Production Supervisor, or a similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Demonstrated experience managing large teams of unskilled or semi-skilled laborers.
- Strong mathematical and documentation skills; experience with inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively direct workers and report to management.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly.
