EORE Community Volunteers
Location: MMC and JERE LGA
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibility
- Mobilize community members for group EORE session.
- Conduct Face-to-Face EORE session for at risk and vulnerable persons/groups.
- Conduct EORE audio session for at risk and vulnerable individuals within implementing communities.
- Conduct quarterly safety audit to identify, Suspected Hazardous areas, confirmed hazardous areas, sighting of EO, accidents and victims of EO.
- Supervise, and mentor established EORE safety clubs peer to peer EORE activity in and out of schools within implementing communities.
- Serve as focal point to receive, identify and report Explosive Ordinance accidents and victims to TBSF through established reporting mechanisms.
- Work with community leaders to establish collaboration between project team and community leadership.
- Participate in all project activities within the community.
- Play a key role in the mobilization of community respondents for the survey.
- Conduct other duties that may be assigned related to implementation of the program in the implementation sites.
Desirable skills:
- Good writing and communication skills.
- Must be organized and practical.
- Must be Fluent in Hausa and Kanuri.
- Must be Friendly and understand child safeguarding
- Must be an indigene and reside in any of the implementing communities in Dikwa Local Government Area.
- Must have adequate knowledge of risk-awareness methodologies.
- Must be organized and practical.
- Ability and skills to work with and mentor children’s groups.
