Data Security Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain data security controls to protect sensitive and confidential information.
- Monitor systems for data breaches, unauthorized access, and security incidents, and coordinate timely response actions.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security audits related to data protection.
- Collaborate with IT, compliance, and business teams to embed data security best practices across operations.
- Develop and maintain data security documentation, policies, and incident reports.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ hands-on experience in data security, information security, or cybersecurity roles.
- Strong knowledge of data protection principles, access control, encryption, incident response, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and network protocols.
- Professional certifications will be an added advantage.
