Corporate Lawyer (Advocate / Solicitor)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advisory services to clients on corporate and commercial matters.
- Represent clients as Advocates in court proceedings where required.
- Act as Solicitors in corporate transactions, contract drafting, and legal documentation.
- Conduct legal research and provide well-reasoned opinions on complex legal issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and corporate documents.
- Support the firm’s corporate practice in regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters.
- Maintain high professional and ethical standards in dealing with clients and colleagues.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the firm to deliver high-quality legal solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- An articulate legal professional with strong advocacy and drafting skills.
- Ethical, dependable, and capable of maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Resourceful with the ability to analyze legal problems and provide practical solutions. A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines efficiently.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years Post-Call experience to the Nigerian Bar.
- Experience in corporate and commercial law practice will be an added advantage. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively as both an Advocate and Solicitor where required.
