Civil Engineer
Position Overview
- The Civil Engineer at Metal, Clay and Potter Limited is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects, ensuring they are safe, cost-effective, and completed in compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, resources, and timelines.
- Utilize CAD software and other design tools to model and simulate project designs.
- Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and safety compliance.
- Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure construction materials and workmanship meet specified standards.
- Assess and manage risks associated with construction projects from planning to execution
- Ensure that all documentations comply with regulatory and organizational standards
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background: HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related roles
- Certification: Memberships in professional bodies (e.g., NSE, COREN) is an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 – 4 years’ experience in Construction and Project Management.
- Operational & Technical Skills: Strong knowledge and proficiency in industry-specific software, like AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other computer-aided design software.
- Personal Attributes / Professionalism: Ability to work with independently with minimal supervision.
