We are seeking a courteous, well‑organized, and patient‑focused Front Desk Officer to join our hospital team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and professional experience from registration to departure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Warmly welcome patients, visitors, and families to the hospital.
  • Manage patient registration, update records, and verify necessary documentation.
  • Handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and direct enquiries appropriately.
  • Coordinate patient flow by guiding them to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  • Manage the reception area to ensure it is clean, organized, and patient‑friendly.
  • Assist patients with filling forms, understanding procedures, and basic information.
  • Receive and sort mail, deliveries, and internal communication.
  • Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and administrative staff for seamless service delivery.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, customer service standards, and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2–3 years experience as a front desk officer, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients.
  • Knowledge of hospital processes, patient registration, or HMO procedures is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer operations.
  • Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Neat appearance, empathy, and strong customer service orientation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MBChB) from a recognized institution.
  • Valid license to practice from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Minimum of 2–3 years clinical experience (post-NYSC experience).
  • Strong clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage medical emergencies.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems is an added advantage.
