Branch Manager
Job Summary
- The Branch Manager (BM) is responsible for driving business growth, expanding the customer base, and ensuring sustainable portfolio performance.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a deep understanding of microfinance operations, and a proven ability to achieve business and performance targets.
- The role reports directly to the Head of Growth and involves strategic planning, market expansion, and team supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company’s market presence.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments for growth.
- Supervise and support branch teams to meet and exceed business objectives.
- Monitor and analyse branch and regional performance, recommending improvement strategies where necessary
- Lead the development and execution of loan products and marketing initiatives tailored to target markets.
- Drive customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction through consistent engagement and quality service delivery.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business strategy.
- Ensure strong loan portfolio quality and compliance with organizational policies.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and motivation to field officers and branch managers.
- Prepare periodic business performance reports for management review.
- Represent the organization professionally in external stakeholder engagements.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements and Qualifications
- B.Sc./HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a Microfinance Institution (MFI) — MFI experience is essential.
- Proven success in sales, business strategy, and loan portfolio management.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
