• The Audit Specialist will support the Internal Audit function by conducting independent, objective reviews of technical, commercial, and financial processes to identify risks, control gaps, and non-compliance, and to provide practical recommendations that strengthen governance, safeguard assets, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure adherence to regulatory, policy, and quality management requirements across Ikeja Electric.

Your Role

Accountabilities are:

• Assist in developing the annual audit plan by identifying areas for audit
• Provide leadership to the field audit team during audit engagements
• Coordinate various departments/agencies, making available relevant records for audit purposes and ensuring that the audits are carried out as planned.
• Carry out auditing of the process of collection, money receipt, payment for disbursement of salary, billing process, distribution of bills, disconnection.
• Examine the audit report, analyze audit results and recommend corrective actions based on key audit findings.
• Complying with various processes and policies decided upon for audit by the internal audit team.
• Manage all the audit fieldwork, ensure completion and ensure that the audit file complies with approved Standards
• Assist in assessing the primary risks facing IE and identifying risk mitigation measures.
• Audit the process of Planning Projects, Operation & Maintenance, for the entire system and the compliance to technical standards.
• Assess the primary risks facing IE and identify risk mitigation measures.
• Carry out any other duties as requested by the Head of Department and Head of Unit

Minimum Requirement

• First degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any relevant science or social science field.
• CA certification – ACA, ACCA, or CIA; Post qualification experience of 6 years in energy, power, financial or manufacturing sector.
• MUST be a chartered accountant
