Audit Analyst-Oil & Gas
Job Summary:
- As an Auditor Analyst, you will be responsible for examining and evaluating financial records, internal controls, and operational processes to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be essential in identifying discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- This role will require you to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate findings effectively, and contribute to the overall financial health and compliance of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Auditing: Conduct financial audits to review and verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
- Operational Auditing: Assess operational processes and procedures to identify inefficiencies, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Risk Assessment: Analyze financial and operational data to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Data Analysis: Utilize analytical tools and software to process and interpret large datasets, identifying trends and anomalies.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed audit reports, documenting findings, recommendations, and compliance issues.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Communication: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to communicate audit results, provide guidance, and assist in implementing improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to contribute to the enhancement of audit methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. ICAN, ACA or ACCA or relevant certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in financial or operational auditing, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and relevant regulations. FIRS
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, data analytics software).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey audit findings and recommendations.
