Area Marketing Manager – BTL & Field Activation
Job Summary
- The AreaMarketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing effective marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth in the Southwest region of Nigeria.
- This role requires a dynamic and results-driven individual with a deep understanding of the regional market, strong leadership skills, and a passion for the beauty and hair care industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional marketing plans and campaigns to achieve business objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape in the Southwest region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, and salons.
- Coordinate and execute promotional events, product launches, and trade shows to increase brand visibility and customer engagement.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with the national marketing team to ensure alignment with overall brand strategy and messaging.
- Manage regional marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
- Train and mentor marketing teams to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.
- Ensure the deployment, installation, compliance, and maintenance of merchandising and point of sale materials in the region.
Measurement/Performance Indicators
- Brilliant execution of all activation activities in line with agreed objectives.
- Effective deployment of POP materials.
- Achievement of target vs. actual performance (KPIs).
- Availability of pre- and post-evaluation of all activation activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the beauty, FMCG, or related industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding of the Southwest Nigerian market and consumer behavior.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and techniques.
- Willingness to travel within the region as required.
