• The Application Development Specialist will be responsible for delivering high-quality software development, data analytics, and application support services to Nigerian Exchange Limited.
• S/he must possess a solid combination of analytical problem-solving skills, user interface development experience, and hands-on exposure to data visualization and business intelligence solutions. This role requires the ability to translate complex data into intuitive, user-friendly applications and dashboards that support business decision-making. In addition,

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining analytics-driven web portals using Python frameworks.
• Collaborating with all relevant stakeholders to define and document business processes and requirements.
• Designing implementing and optimising databases to support analytical applications.
• Ensuring security and scalability of web applications.

Skill & Experience

• HND/Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A.), Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields.
• Minimum 4+ years” cognate experience in a similar role within a regulated environment preferably Financial Services Industry.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Strong appreciation for Agile and iterative development methodologies, full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.
• Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD) skills is required.
• Proficiency in Python, including experience with frameworks such as StreamLit, Plotly, FastAPI, Django or Flask.
• Strong understanding of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
• Experience with web development frameworks and libraries.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).
• Familiarity with business intelligence platforms and OLAP systems.
• Extensive experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Knowledge of database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
