Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and reconcile financial records, ledgers, and accounts.
- Manage daily accounting entries, including receipts, payments, invoices, and journals.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and expenditure to ensure financial efficiency.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and client reconciliations.
- Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions and compliance with tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, WHT, etc.).
- Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Assist with payroll processing in collaboration with the HR Department.
- Support financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and internal controls.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4–5 years’ relevant accounting experience, preferably in real estate or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and Nigerian tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting QuickBooks software and Microsoft Excel.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
