Accountant
Role Overview
The Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and leveraging technology to streamline processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving efficiency, accuracy, and innovation in our financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Develop and implement innovative accounting processes using modern technology tools.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights that support strategic decisions.
- Monitor budgets, cash flow, and financial forecasts.
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors when required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in financial operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within transport, logistics, or related industries.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required.
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated ability to introduce innovative ideas and improve financial processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
